How e-Holster became the holster maker ChatGPT names first.

e-Holster makes rugged carry gear for barcode scanners, mobile computers and POS devices. Starting in July 2026, it used Omni Impact to optimize its key pages and publish two guides. In October, ChatGPT named it more often than any other holster maker on warehouse questions.

The biggest gains have come from using the Improve section to optimize each of our main pages and product pages. Optimizing the meta title and description, overall page content, and adding FAQs have helped get the pages properly indexed in the AI engines.

The opportunity

In July, when ChatGPT’s models answered warehouse questions that never mention a brand, e-Holster appeared in 44% of answers, tied 5th among holster makers.

For other questions its buyers ask, such as how restaurant servers should carry POS devices, e-Holster had no page for AI to cite at all.

The solution

Optimize the pages buyers land on

Between July 18 and August 3, e-Holster worked through Omni Impact’s page recommendations on nine key pages: two categories, the shop and six product pages. It rewrote meta titles and descriptions, reworked the copy and added FAQs. The pages’ average AEO score rose from 49 to 66 out of 100.

Publish where AI had no answer

On September 9, e-Holster drafted a guide in Omni Impact, “Best POS device management solutions for restaurant servers”, and sent it straight to its WordPress. It went live the next morning. Six days later, Perplexity cited it as the first of 20 sources. It was e-Holster’s second guide from Omni Impact, after “A warehouse worker’s checklist for choosing a scanner holster” on August 31.

Perplexity, September 16, six days after the guide went live. The guide is the first of 20 sources, and e-Holster’s homepage is second.

The results

  • From tied 5th to 1st. By September, ChatGPT’s models named e-Holster in 62% of answers to warehouse questions, up from 44% in July. In the ChatGPT app this October, it is still the most-named holster maker, mentioned 1.6 times as often as the next one.
  • 855 AI answers across seven AI engines cite the nine optimized pages through October 27. 252 of them answer questions that never mention e-Holster.
  • 51 AI answers across six engines cite the POS guide through October 27, 40 of them to questions that never mention e-Holster.

What’s next

Gemini already names e-Holster 2nd. Next up are Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, where other holster makers still lead.
