Source Influence shows the domains AI engines retrieve or cite when answering your prompts.
Open Source Influence. The full leaderboard is available on Pro and higher plans. Starter shows a counts-only preview. The available history window depends on your plan.
Filter the sources
Choose a time window and a source role to decide what the leaderboard includes.
| Role | Includes |
|---|---|
| Both | Retrieved and cited sources. |
| Cited only | Sources listed as cited. |
| Retrieved only | Sources listed as retrieved. |
Retrieval and citation are separate signals. An engine can find a source without referring to it in the answer. Source information can differ by engine, so compare like with like.
Inspect a domain
Select a leaderboard domain to expand its detail view. The breakdown includes individual URLs and activity by engine. The table keeps cited and retrieved counts separate.
Use the breakdown to distinguish a domain that repeatedly appears in one engine from a source seen across several engines. Review its role before treating it as a citation opportunity.
What influence does and does not establish
A source appearing here does not tell you whether its page names your brand. It also does not establish a relationship with your brand, an endorsement, or traffic to your site.
If the table is empty
The table needs prompt results with search sources. Run a prompt or wait for new results, then review the time window and role filter. An answer without search sources may have nothing to show here.
For the answer behind a run, use Prompt Metrics. For AI-referred visits, use the Google Analytics 4 integration; source counts are not visitor counts.
